Marketing to Readers - Focus Session Marketing to Readers & Attracting New Audiences A special day long symposium on Monday April 2nd is designed to be an integral part of NAA’s 2012 mediaXchange programming. The topics address the key challenges confronting today’s audience development & circulation professionals provides a forum to address the toughest issues with the best in the industry. It also offers the chance to reconnect with colleagues and associates. The agenda is designed to complement the balance of the mediaXchange programing while providing a venue for more in-depth discussion among audience and circulation professionals. Problem solving sessions will range from audience metrics and how to retain today’s multiplatform readers and the latest product launches for acquiring new audiences. The discussion will include revenue strategies and managing a complex distribution model. The sessions will include the most essential topics presented by the most qualified newspaper executives who will share what is working for them along with their marketing initiatives for the coming year. The symposium builds on the success of last year’s well-attended program and is updated for today’s key challenges. The program includes sessions focusing on how to improve operational efficiencies, increase revenues, sell newspapers, and grow print and digital audiences. The agenda starts with a discussion of the evolving audience metrics that encompass marketing both digital and print audiences to advertisers. The discussion will move to address the development and marketing of new digital products, optimizing revenue opportunities with multiplatform subscriptions packaging and the latest initiatives for acquiring new audiences.
